When my family and I moved to Bon Air (from Westover Hills), I noticed there were no neighborhood blogs/sites to get the latest news/happenings in Bon Air. To fill that gap, I created Bon Air Buzz back in November of 2010. My primary goal was (and still is) to increase visibility into local happenings and increase the level of engagement in the Bon Air community.
I have spent over 16+ years at a Fortune 200 financial company and also founded Tolley Consulting Group, LLC in 2009.
I serve as the Neighborhood Watch Coordinator for the Brookwood Neighborhood Watch and a Board Member of a local non-profit.
I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and an MBA with a concentration in Information Systems.
I’m married to a beautiful woman named Amy and have an awesome four year old son named Griffin. I am a native Richmonder, where I have lived in such places as Varina, Carytown, The Fan, Westover Hills, and Bon Air. I am fluent in sign language, an avid collector of music, prefers to read non-fiction, enjoys discussing current events with others and is a big fan of my iPhone and streaming Netflix.

I am a native Virginian & have lived my entire life in VA with the exception of two years in Atlanta, GA. I built our home on Old Gun in 1994 and have lived here happily with my husband and our cats ever since. I have two adult children and two grandchildren who are amongst my favorite visitors to our home. When not working at my full time job, I enjoy antiquing, gardening, and planning and executing my next interior project with my sometimes reluctant but ever faithful DIY partner, my husband.

I am a Bon Air home-maker/entrepreneur making my way in the modern world with some old-fashioned needs and ideas. As a Richmond native, I love all this town has to offer. My interests include cooking, gardening, crafts run amuck, party planning, movie star gossip, music, fashion, and simply having lots of fun. Hope you enjoy my escapades as I navigate through life as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

I’ve lived in parts south of Richmond for decades now. I’m an avid attendee of music events, restaurants, and odd happenings with my family. Sometimes I’ll go solo depending on how rowdy or uncomfortable the event so as to spare my wife and son the “Adventure.” I’m a pet owner, a music lover, and an automotive enthusiast. I’ll do my best to keep you guys informed of any happenings that might be interesting, strange, or “other.”

When not procrastinating on Facebook, I fundraise for a local non-profit, think about writing, and search for my hidden talent. Richmond has so much to offer: visual and performing arts, the river, great restaurants, good people. A native Virginian and Richmonder for 30 years, South Richmond has been my home for the past 11. I’m always trying to lure folks across the bridge to try something new in town. Sometimes it feels like another country, but it isn’t: I just Googled it, and central Bon Air is a mere 17 minutes from mid-town. What are you waiting for?
My favorite things are movies, books, food and wine. Least favorite? Unloading the dishwasher. I hate it! Why is that? I’d take cleaning the toilet over it. Two toilets.
